Day Itinerary for the day
1 Arrive at Galileo Galilei International Airport (Pisa) to be greeted by your hosts and driven along tree-lined roads to your luxury spa hotel at San Giuliano Terme. The spa, loved by the Etruscans and ancient Romans, became famous in 1743, when the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Francesco Stefano of Lorena made his summer residence there and it became fashionable with European aristocracy. Revitalize with a massage (included) or unwind in the serenity of this world-class spa.
2 A leisurely breakfast then depart for a morning in Lucca, a historic lively small city, untouched by 20th century planning and sheltered behind pink ramparts surmounted by a tree lined avenue. Explore the narrow streets lined with the tall facades of old palazzos and numerous churches that are among the finest examples of Pisan Romanesque architecture. Stroll on top of the famous ramparts, discover artistic treasures, shop or just watch the world go by over an espresso before a private lunch in a small hamlet in the hills north of Lucca. Return to Lucca in the late afternoon to further discover the splendors of Lucca or to have Evelyn take you to her favorite boutiques and stores in the town’s atmospheric back streets.
3 Late morning departure and drive through Versilia and onto the Italian Riviera located in Liguria. Lunch at Santa Margherita Ligure overlooking the spectacular bay crowned with turn of the century villas cascading down to the blue Mediterranean. Later in the afternoon stroll around elegant Portofino, shopping in designer boutiques or sipping an aperativo by the picturesque port. Return to your hotel with a stop at the secluded Prada outlet in the Versilian hinterland.
4 A leisurely start to the day at your spa hotel before a long afternoon lunch in a trattoria located in the verdant green Luchessi hills. Then an interlude in Forte dei Marmi a chic beachside resort nestled among tree lined avenues for coffee in a sidewalk café watching elegant Italians indulging in La Dolce Vita or shopping in the many exclusive boutiques. Dinner in the evening in Pietrasanta, home to world famous sculptors and artists, including Bottero and Chia. Wander through intimate galleries late into the night; mingle with the locals in the piazza before returning to the hotel.
5 Breakfast and then a mid morning departure for southern Tuscany to your luxury five star spa hotel overlooking unspoilt Tuscan countryside. The exclusive resort was built in the 17th century by the Grand Duke Ferdinando I de' Medici amid precious hot springs whose therapeutic properties were known since ancient times. On the way, a shopping excursion to the designer shopping outlets located in the countryside south of Florence including Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Yamamoto, Pucci, La Perla, Fendi, Tod’s, Ermenegildo Zegna, Yves St Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and others. Early evening arrival at your hotel in San Casciano dei Bagni and a soothing massage to help you relax.

Lunch in Montalcino then onto the splendor of Siena, visiting the Duomo, cathedral precinct and to contemplate the breathtaking setting of the Piazza del Campo over an aperitivo. Dinner in the peaceful hilltop village of Lucignano with its unusual spiraling medieval elliptical walls and maze of streets.
7 An early morning escorted walk in the countryside to start the day before breakfast. Followed by a visit to Montepulciano, an attractive little Renaissance hill top town located in a remarkably picturesque setting. Lunch in the medieval village of Monticchiello surrounded by walls dotted with crenellated towers overlooking the serene Tuscan landscape. Spend the afternoon in Pienza, a perfect example of Renaissance town planning under the patronage of Pope Pius II, a scholarly man who wanted to build the ideal town before returning to the hotel to relax.
